{"id":1190,"date":"2016-01-05T03:15:59","date_gmt":"2016-01-05T03:15:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/truthindeed.com\/blog\/?p=1190"},"modified":"2018-01-21T06:53:30","modified_gmt":"2018-01-21T06:53:30","slug":"yeast-bread-gluten-free-vegan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/truthindeed.com\/blog\/2016\/01\/05\/yeast-bread-gluten-free-vegan\/","title":{"rendered":"Yeast bread; gluten-free, vegan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To proof yeast:<br \/>\n2 1\/4 teaspoons yeast= 1 package<br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoons (1\/2 tablespoon) coconut sugar<br \/>\n2 cups warm water- 110\u00b0 (I use an instant read thermometer to get the water to the right temperature- this is important!)<br \/>\n<em>Whisk together in glass measuring cup or small bowl and let sit while assembling rest of ingredients.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dry ingredients:<br \/>\n1 1\/4 cups millet flour*<br \/>\n1 1\/4 cups brown rice flour*<br \/>\n1\/2 cup tapioca starch\/flour<br \/>\n1 tablespoon baking powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt<br \/>\n3 tablespoons psyllium husk powder- NOT whole psyllium husk<br \/>\n<em>Mix in large mixing bowl using wire whisk. (You may also use an electric mixer.)<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Wet ingredients:<br \/>\n1\/2 tablespoon (1 1\/2 teaspoons) unsweetened applesauce<br \/>\n2 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar<br \/>\n<em>Add to yeast mixture and whisk together to mix well.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Then add this liquid mixture to dry ingredients and mix well. (I use a wooden spoon with a hole in the middle- which is made for mixing.) <\/em><br \/>\n<em>(You can also use an electric mixer if you are unable to stir it by hand.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Spoon batter into greased loaf pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Remove from oven and let sit on cooling rack for 10 minutes.
