{"id":1148,"date":"2016-01-04T08:03:25","date_gmt":"2016-01-04T08:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/truthindeed.com\/blog\/?p=1148"},"modified":"2018-01-21T07:04:19","modified_gmt":"2018-01-21T07:04:19","slug":"macaroni-and-cheese","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/truthindeed.com\/blog\/2016\/01\/04\/macaroni-and-cheese\/","title":{"rendered":"Macaroni and cheese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\n3 \u00bd cups dry gluten-free macaroni (and water to cook it in)<br \/>\n\u00bc cup diced onion<br \/>\n\u00bc cup millet flour<br \/>\n\u00bc cup nutritional yeast<br \/>\n1\u00bd teaspoons (1\/2 tablespoon) dry ground mustard, OR 1 tablespoon prepared mustard<br \/>\n1 tablespoon tapioca starch\/flour; or arrowroot powder\/starch<br \/>\n\u00bd teaspoon onion powder<br \/>\n\u00bd teaspoon garlic powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt<br \/>\n\u00bd teaspoon ground Tellicherry black pepper<br \/>\n3 cups water- divided<\/p>\n<p><em>Instructions:<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Cook macaroni and drain.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Add onion to 1 cup water and let simmer while assembling rest of ingredients.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Whisk remaining ingredients into 2 cups water and pour into pan with water\/ onion mix. Stir on medium heat until mixed, and then add macaroni.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Stir until &#8220;cheese&#8221; sauce thickens.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>NOTES:<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Cut up gluten-free spaghetti noodles can be used in place of macaroni.
