For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (Jesus speaking in John 3:17)

Salvation is the most important gift that anyone on earth can receive, and it can come only from God. But what is it?
Simply put- salvation is the redemption of one’s soul from sin; and from spending eternity in a hot, burning lake of fire.
Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Heaven, on the other hand, is a place where those who are saved, or born-again, will spend eternity with Jesus Christ.
And the Holy Bible also describes it.
Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
The following scriptures show us that salvation is a gift from God.
It is not something that we can earn by doing good deeds.
Ephesians 2:8, 9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 John 5:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
So how do you obtain this precious gift of salvation?
First, you must admit that you are a sinner who is in need of a Savior, according to the following scriptures:
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
1 John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Next, you need to acknowledge the fact that Jesus Christ shed His blood so that your sins could be forgiven, according to the following scriptures:
1 John 1:7
…the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who… washed us from our sins in his own blood.
Then, you need to believe that Jesus died, but overcame death, according to the following scriptures:
Matthew 16:21
From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things…and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
1 Corinthians 15:3, 4
…how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And finally, you need to ask Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of your life, according to the following scriptures:
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Jesus came to earth as a humble servant and died on the cross- shedding His precious, sinless blood so that our sins could be forgiven.
He arose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God.
But one day He will come back to earth again; this time as a King!
And He will take His children, called born-again believers, home to be with Him forever.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? We mean- REALLY ready?!
So many people think that they are- but in all truth; they are not.
They believe the lies that they have been taught by their pastors- who teach them that they are born- again Christians because they are “good people”; or because they “do nice things for others”; or because they “pay their tithes and offerings”; or even because they attend ‘church’.
Or they may believe that they are born-again Christians because they repeated a prayer called “the sinner’s prayer”- which, by the way, is NOT Biblical.
Genuine salvation is free; it is a gift from God. NO ONE can earn it.
If you have never prayed to ask Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of your life, please do so now.
You may not have another chance- since none of us know what may happen to us, even in the next few seconds. And the most horrible thing that can happen to anyone would be for them to take their last breath on earth and to open their eyes in the lake of fire for eternity!
What you need to do to be saved, or born-again, is to first admit that you are a sinner.
Then go to the Lord, Jesus Christ, in sincere prayer and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Acknowledge the fact that He died on the cross and shed His blood so that your sins could be forgiven; and that He arose from the dead on the third day after He died.
Finally, ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of your life; and to help you live for Him for the rest of your life on earth- so that you can spend eternity with Him. (Then go buy a King James Bible and read it- from Genesis to Revelation! MANY TIMES!)
